[WALNUT] Final event

Next 5th February takes place in Rue de Pascale (Brussels) the final event of WalNUT, a project that has been working during four years on the nutrient recovery from waste water.

Throughout the day, partners, experts, policymakers, and sister initiatives will gather to discuss the project’s results, key insights, and future opportunities for nutrient recycling in Europe.

The programme will open with a welcome session, an overview of WalNUT’s journey, and contributions from the European Commission. This will be followed by an expert debate on the policy framework for nutrient recycling, bringing together leading voices from research, industry, and EU institutions.

The afternoon will feature dedicated sessions showcasing WalNUT’s technological solutions, agronomic performance, digital platform, environmental assessment, and business models. Participants will also be introduced to the project’s White Book and hear from sister projects working toward more sustainable nutrient management across Europe.
