The NUTRIPRECISIÓN project develops strategies for improving the quality of life of “pre-senior” and “senior” groups based on precision nutrition.
Precision nutrition is offering new perspectives on human food in line with the continuous advances in personalized diets and the application of emerging omic technologies. In fact, precision diets aim to consider not only genetic inheritance, but emphasize individual characteristics, such as food preferences, intolerances, lifestyle, family medical history, socioeconomic aspects, etc.
- Design specific (precision) nutritional strategies aimed at the effective prevention of diseases associated with aging, contributing to improve the quality of life of the senior and pre-senior population.
- Design food products that meet the nutritional, dietary, organoleptic and convenience requirements of the senior and pre-senior population.
- Implement metabolomics as a nutritional research tool.
- To evaluate the effectiveness of an individualized and precision diet through intervention studies in the adult population.
- Launch innovative products with high added value adapted to the needs of the senior and pre-senior population.
