Horizon 2020

Description

It is the most important EU funding programme of R&D and innovation. In its eighth edition, in the period 2014-2020 it contributes to address the most important societal challenges, to promote European industrial leadership and to reinforce the research base. The available budget is around 76.880M€.

Horizon 2020 integrates for the first time all phases from knowledge generation to close-to-market activities: basic research, technology development, demonstration projects, manufacturing pilot lines, social innovation, technology transfer, proof of concept, standardization, pre-commercial public procurement support, venture capital and guarantee scheme.

CARTIF participation

CARTIF has been participating actively in this programme and its predecessors from the 5th Framework Programme in collaboration with reference European entities and leading big consortia in very ambitious projects. CARTIF leads 8 projects and participates in other 44.
