Masterclass STG- Samantha Cristoforetti, Astronaut from the European Spacial Agent

Graduated by the Technical University of Munich, with a master´s degree in Mechanical Engineerin with specializations in aerospace propulsion and light structures, she was selected as an ESA astronaut in May 2009. In March 2012 she was assigned to fly as a flight engineer on the Soyuz TMA-15M. On November 23, 2014. Smantha was launched from the Baikonur cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. She returned to earth on June 11, 2015 after spending 200 days in space. Samantha has been assigned a second mission at the International Space Station that is scheduled for 2022.
