[FLOODGUARD] Discover 5 soace-based urban innovations for cliamte risks in public spaces

Webinar for Cities 3 | Discover 5 Space-Based Urban Innovations for Climate Risks in Public Spaces

Twenty innovative solutions from more than 140 applications have been selected for development and funding in the SPACE4Cities Innovation Competition. These solutions address some of the most pressing challenges facing cities and regions, leveraging satellite data and space technologies to generate real impact.

This session will present five of the twenty innovative solutions, including FLOOGUARD, the innovative solution of which CARTIF is a partner. FLOODGUARD is an AI-based climate service that enables cities to assess and anticipate flood risks by integrating Copernicus Earth Observation data, high-resolution hydrodynamic models, and AI algorithms. It enables short-term forecasting (up to 96 hours) and long-term climate adaptation planning.

On June 26th, our colleague Carla Rodríguez, researcher in the Energy division, will present the solution being developed by CARTIF in a presentation entitled “Flood risk management for governance, urban adaptation and resilient development.”
