[MeatingPlants] 4th International Legume Society Conference

This International Conference aims to stimulate knowledge exchange and interactions between researchers and stakeholders in promoting the increased cultivation and use of grain legumes and forages as a necessary pathway towards more sustainable food and feed systems and healthier diets.

The conference will take place at the Palacio de Congresos y Exposiciones de Granada from 19-22 September, where researchers and experts will talk about a long list of legume topics. Among the experts will be our colleague Gabriela Ribeiro, researcher in the area of food, who will present the relevant results obtained in the Meating Plants project. The aim of this project was to explore new vegetable protein sources, mainly legume species native to the Community of Castilla y León, which, together with the incorporation of by-products and the use of technologies such as extrusion and texturisation, make it possible to generate an innovative alternative product.
