ALL-TO-GAS

Biomass and residues as precursors of the coupled prodcution of hydrogen and methane in the new scenario of industrial energy transition.

Description

The main objective of this propoal is the development of a process technique and economically viable ans sustainable by the integration of technologies (HTC, pyrogasification, biological methanation, reforming) for the conversión of biomass and residues, both dry and with a high content in humidity, in green methane and green hydrogen.

In this way the use of this renewable gases in industry will be boost, by providing on the demand pint (industrial installation), with production insitu support by the gas network when it is necessary.

      Objectives

      • Development of the pirogasification process for the subsequent valuation of Sygas Biooil and Biochar.
      • Development of HTC process for the valorisation of wet residues.
      • Enrichment of anaerobic methanogenic communities with high affinity for H2, CO2 and CO.
      • Optimization of the refurbished methane by the use of catalysers.
      • Optimization of a syngas cleaning system in the pyrogasification and HTC processes.

      Actions

      • Compilation of raw materials
      • Research of the pirogasification process.
      • Research of hydrothermal carbonization process.
      • Research of biological methanisation processes
      • Research of green methane catalytic reforming process
      • Research about syngas cleaning and conditioning processes.
      • Study of an integrated model of matter and energy.

      Expected Results

      • Optimized pirogasification process to obtain Syngas, Biooil and Biochar.
      • Optimized HTC process for the transformation with high content in humidity in biofuels
      • Obtaining high performance anaerobic methanogenic communities with high affinity for H2, CO2 and CO.
      • Process of optimised catalytic methane reforming.
      • System for cleaning the gas generated in the pyrogasification and optimised HTC processes.

      BATERURGIA

      BATERURGIA

BATERURGIA “research into advanced recycling technologies for obtaining strategic metals from EV batteries”, aims to respond to the challenges posed by the recycling of LIBs and provide knowledge to solve the problems arising from the recovery and selective separation of critical metals to facilitate their use in the manufacture of new batteries or to replace conventional raw materials and introduce them into other production sectors as alternative raw materials.

      FRONTSH1P

Frontsh1p will contribute to further the green transition in the Polish region of Lódzkie. A region that on the one hand, traditionally heavily relies on coal extraction, and on the other hand, has pioneered circular (bio)economy since the early 2000s. The region has always been in the forefront of innovation and has become one of the leading regions in the field of circular economy.
