Supporting the transition towards circular economy in European cities and regions: development of a replicable model for local circular economy projects
InvestCEC will develop a replicable model to implement circular economy projects in european cities and regions, taking into account all the relevant interest parts.Specifically, the model will support the entrepeneurs to prepare theri investment in circular economy solutions. The viability of the model will be demonstrate after at Klagenfurt, Austria, as a demonstrator.
Also a platform for favouring the communication between involved entities will be developed with the objective of monitoring the project and its progress. A personalized replication plan will be create for boosting the reproduction of the model in other places of Europe and several activitirs will be carried out for supporting the transition towards circular economy.
- Develop a replicable model that favours the implementation of circular economy projects in cities and regions, supporting the relevant interested parts, such as investors, public organisms and entrepeneurs.
- Begin, at least, one circular economy project in the city of Klagenfurt, Austria, to demonstrate the efficiency of the investment programme in supporting those projects and set off the replication in other parts fo Europe.
- To create an interactive platform for investors, entrepeneurs, cities and citizens that collaborate in a circular economy project.
- Develop and implement measures to raise awareness to investors and regional authorities about the opportunities that presents circular economy, its economic potential and its financial viability, increasing their trust in circular ecoomy projects.
- Develop and make training activities to facilitate transition towards circular cities.
- Support in the creation of tools for the definition of the cities/regions needs with regard to circular economy projects.
- Support in the creation of tools for the definition of circular economy projects according to local needs.
- Support in the development of tools that guarantee a complete selection process of the circular economy solutions.
- Identification and definition of measures to address the main barriers and challenges that slowdown the transition towards circular economy in cities/regions.
- Participation in the development of guides and resources to replicate the project concept at national and european level.
- Methodology and needed tools to begin and implement sustainability projects at urban and regional level.
- Research into techniques and technologies for the renaturalisation of industrial and domestic spaces (indoors and outdoors).
